Who am I?

My real name is Grant Morrison, but I've been stuck with the nickname of "Fade" since high school, and I can't even remember why! I started making websites in 1997 by using pre-made HTML templates and tweaking them to my liking. I immediately became hooked on web development, and since then I have not stopped learning all about it.

What I've done

My "claim to fame" is my own website, IllMuzik.com. I created it in 2001 because of my love for hip hop production, and since then it has grown into a huge community of producers from all around the globe, and because of its success and the people I've befriended along the way, I have done work for many other people in the music field, and all of my clients were obtained solely from word of mouth!

A lot of the projects I've worked on consisted of people that needed a music site created from scratch, but this doesn't mean that I can only do music sites, on the contrary - I have worked since 2008 with a Search Engine Optimization company where I have developed and integrated a wide range of websites. I also have some knowledge of SEO, which means that I can help you get your site ranked higher on search engines like Google.

What I do

Developing a website from A to Z is what I do best. My strong point is the backend of a site, which involves lots of code and databases. I prefer to make sites in PHP because many times a database is ideal for the task at hand, and PHP allows me to create interactive pages.

When it comes to the design aspect of a site, CSS is the way to go. Say goodbye to the old, standard HTML markup, instead CSS is the new industry standard, which allows me to be much more flexible in the designs that I create.

I hand-code all of my sites, but overall, I keep my code clean and easy to read so that if changes need to be made (either by me or a client), then it makes the task that much simpler.
